The Power of Giving to an event that Benefits Riley Children’s Foundation
The White River Yacht Club Classic is a classic boat and car show that started in 2019 after co-chair Mike Boone’s great-granddaughter, Sloane Davisson, was diagnosed with cancer. Mike, and co-chair Kevin Williams, raised $2,780 at the inaugural event to support pediatric cancer research. What began as a small community effort has grown each year, with organizers and volunteers working tirelessly to raise funds and awareness. Over time, the event has achieved significant milestones in fundraising. Each year, the event continues to build momentum and support vital research that benefits children fighting cancer. The White River Yacht Club Classic has raised (along with the Walther Match) over $482,000 to support pediatric cancer research.
The funds raised contribute to an established endowment at Riley Children’s Foundation, designed to provide ongoing support for pediatric cancer researchers and programs affiliated with Riley Children’s Health.
