The day our son, Harvey, was diagnosed with a brain tumor, our community immediately stepped up for us. We were given donations, gifts for our son at the hospital, meals, etc. We went from crying out of fear and sadness, to crying from the outpouring of love. It has been the most powerful bittersweet reminder of how much good is out there. And now, we just want to give back to the hospital and community that saved our son’s life.
We spent months at Riley, and when your child is that sick and scared, leaving isn’t an option. Our nervous system was working overload, in a constant state of stress. Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise money to bring wellness to families. Proceeds will go toward the Riley Arts in Health department, giving families a chance to do yoga and experience other art-related moments at Riley for free. To give them a chance to take their minds off of their diagnoses.

The mission of the Riley Arts in Health Program is to enrich the healing environment at Riley Children’s Health through the transformative power of the arts. By bringing music, visual arts, dance, and live performances into the hospital, we foster moments of joy, connection, and creativity for children, families, and team members, nurturing the spirit and celebrating resilience.
Together, Creative Arts Therapies and Arts in Health form a comprehensive arts ecosystem within Riley Children’s Health. While Creative Arts Therapies provide targeted clinical support, the Arts in Health program creates a vibrant, healing atmosphere that benefits everyone in the hospital community.
